Head Coach Ranking

Houston Texans 23, Washington Redskins 21 – Nov. 18, 2018

Key Coaching Decision #1: (WAS ball, trailing 20-14 / fourth-and-1, HOU 46 / 14:54 Q4)
• The Redskins facing a fourth-down decided to go for it in Houston territory. Colt McCoy faked the handoff and ran for five yards and a Washington first down. Adrian Peterson scored a few plays later on a seven-yard touchdown to give the Redskins the lead.

Key Observations:
• The Redskins lost quarterback Alex Smith for the season with a brutal leg injury. He is out for the season and is facing a 6- to 8-month recovery. It’s just another injury to a Washington offense that has been decimated this year.

• The Texans won their seventh game in a row and have a two-game lead in the AFC South. The defense led the way with five sacks and the offense did just enough to squeak out a win in Washington.

• Adrian Peterson had two touchdowns and is now sixth all-time with 105 rushing touchdowns. He passed Washington legend and Hall of Fame running back John Riggins. Peterson is having a great year and needs to carry even more of a load with Alex Smith out for the season.
