Let’s take a quick look at how last week played out. It was another solid week finishing up 3-2. I whiffed on the Falcons as they were pounded by the Browns in Cleveland, and the Bucs completely fell apart in a loss to Washington. In the loss, Tampa Bay became the first team in NFL history with over 500 yards of offense to score three or fewer points. To put this in perspective, the Saints had over 500 yards of offense and scored 51 points in their win over Cincinnati on Sunday!!!My picks from last week are below.
Atlanta -4 over Cleveland – L
Tennessee +6.5 over New England – W
Tampa Bay -3 over Washington – L
Los Angeles Chargers – 10 over Oakland – W
New York Giants + 3 over San Francisco- W
Best Bets for Week 11 of the NFL Season.
Atlanta Falcons -3 (3-6 ATS) vs. Dallas Cowboys (4-5 ATS)
Both teams come in facing a must win situation if they have any hope of making a playoff run. The Falcons come home after a brutal defeat at the hands of the Browns, and Dallas comes in flying high after a huge win over Philadelphia on Sunday night. Atlanta is 15-2 SU and 12-5 ATS in their last 17 conference home games. Dallas is 2-5 SU in their last 7 games against the Falcons including a double digit loss last season. I favor Atlanta to win and cover the small spread at home.
Houston Texans -3 (4-5 ATS) vs. Washington Redskins (6-3 ATS)
The Texans travel to Washington off a bye week and riding a six game winning streak. They were left for dead after starting the season losing their first four games. The Redskins have been a pleasant surprise and are leading the NFC East by two games. Houston is 4-2 ATS in their last six games and have won three consecutive road games. Washington is 4-1 ATS in their last five games and 6-2 SU in their last eight home games. This is a toss up, but I’m going with Houston’s defensive front to wreak havoc on a Redskins offensive line that has been decimated by injuries. Take the Texans to cover and extend their winning streak to seven games.
Tennessee Titans + 2 ( 6-3 ATS ) vs. Indianapolis Colts (4-4-1 ATS )
Since an embarrassing home loss to the Ravens a month ago, the Titans have turned a corner and are playing like a potential playoff team. Colts head coach, Frank Reich, has done an amazing job with a team that was picked to finish last in the AFC South. Indianapolis has found a running game and Andrew Luck is healthy and playing at an elite level. The Titans are 6-2 ATS in their last eight games and 6-0 SU in their last six games played vs. divisional opponents. The Colts are 6-14 SU in their last 20 games played and 3-6 SU in the last nine games at home. In a tight game, I’m betting on the team with the better defense. Look for the Titans to win the game as a slight underdog.
Minnesota Vikings + 2.5 ( 4-3-2 ATS ) vs. Chicago Bears ( 6-3 ATS )
This is one of the best rivalries in the league and should be a great matchup Sunday night in Chicago. The Vikings have won four of their past 5 games, and the Bears have won three games in a row. Minnesota is 8-3-1 SU in its last 12 road games and 6-1 SU in the last seven games against Chicago. The Bears have been on an impressive ATS run over the past 11 games going 8-3 and are 5-1 ATS over the past six games at home. Even still, watch for Vikings running back Delvin Cook to play well and for the Vikings defense to force Mitch Trubisky into a few late turnovers as Minnesota secures the win in a key divisional game.
Kansas City Chiefs + 3.5 ( 8-2 ATS ) vs. Los Angeles Rams ( 4-5-1 ATS)
This will be one of the games of the year as two Super Bowl contenders and offensive juggernauts go head to head. The game was originally scheduled to be played in Mexico but the field at Azteca Stadium was a complete disaster and the NFL deemed it unplayable. Rumor has it a massive Shakira concert in October ruined the field and stadium officials could not repair it in time. So, the game will be played at the LA coliseum and will be considered a Rams home game instead. Kansas City has been an ATS machine going 8-2 this season and 5-0 ATS over their last 5 road games. LA is 9-1 SU this year but 2-5-1 ATS in their last eight home games. I’m taking the points with the Chiefs and feel they’ll get the straight up victory Monday night.
